Mushrooms Galore

Yes, it's been mushrooms galore, people!
The thing I love about Raw is that often I have no idea what I'm going to eat. I just think- a simple salad. But I pull all the ingredients out and it often comes to me what I can do to make it a little interesting. So for lunch yesterday I had what you see in Pic 1... Corn, Sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, pepper, paprika, sesame seeds all mixed together with olive oil and poured on top of mini portabellos, eaten with some fresh salad. So good!

At dinner time I had some seaweed salad with that dressing I love so much and a huge bowl of fruit- Australian Mango, Strawberries, Blueberries and Orange- in the car. Went to visit my sister who devoured the rest of my seaweed salad. We had some rambutans as well. I know most people would think I'm crazy because we have really easy access to durians here, but I'm so not in the mode for it at the moment. I've eaten them all my life and unless it's like a D24 (best grade) I'm not going to eat them! Haha.. have to wait a few weeks when the season is at its peak.

I ate some stewed sunflower seeds during the day too which was bad but anyway, slowly...

I have been increasingly hungry lately and I think it's because I started eating some cooked food. I gotta stop that!

Today I had papaya for brekkie and beetroot juice (replacing the starfruit which I drink later in the day, as per mum).

Lunch is that glorious mess you see in the last two piccies.. three huge portabellos marinated overnight in olive oil, fresh rosemary/ thyme/ sage/ tarragon and garlic. Some of the day I put it outside and then overnight it went in the fridge (too humid here!). They taste amazing and soft, and none of that mushroomy raw taste is there anymore. Underneath is a lovely mixed salad which includes rocket leaves and cherry tomatoes, with a bit of dressing (as I made salad for mum too and hers needed dressing). Tasty! However, maybe a bit oily.

Last night bought my RM15 each avocados (eek!) and some of Bragg's Amino Acids to see what difference that makes. I can't wait till the avo is ripe for the eating, though I am restricting the intake of that glorious fruit, due to the high fat content, and addictive, heavy quality.

I'm soaking walnuts and in about an hour I'll make some pesto/ cheese for eating probably tomorrow or Christmas day. I'm also going to make almond milk and hazelnut milk because I'm in charge of drinks for our Christmas lunch on Monday (just the family). I think they are having a Vege Turkey (Beancurd skin stuffed with vegies fashioned to look like a dead bird.. hmm).

Oh yes.. Green Juice today: Dragonleaf (whatever that is!), Wheatgrass, Broccoli, Spinach, Choy Sum, Kai Lan, Bok Choy, Barley Grass Powder, Starfruit and some Agave because honestly it tasted pretty bad. Or just overly green! But so good for me! Hehe
